For a limited time, enjoy Pay-As-You-Go pricing with no annual contract.

No other provider offers InGrid's 30-day Risk-Free trial or Pay-As-You-Go Monthly Plans.

Trust InGrid's National Experience
Over 99% of security companies are small, local or serve customers in just a few areas. InGrid is one of just a handful of nationwide security companies. InGrid's national footprint allows us to bring you breakthrough safety features and advanced services that most other security companies cannot offer. Since you own your InGrid system, you can take it with you when you move.

We partner with over 25,000 local police, fire and medical agencies in all 50 states. InGrid's monitoring center has spent years developing and maintaining the proprietary databases and relationships to know who to call so that during an emergency, time is not wasted getting you help. It's just another part of InGrid's commitment to rapid response.

What’s in the box

The InGrid Home System includes a Keypad Console, Handset, Eight Sensors a Keychain Remote, Base and Grid Extender for increased range. InGrid also offers the "Basic System" for homes and apartments less than 1,500 square feet. The only thing you need to operate your security system is a high-speed Internet connection, an in-home router, and InGrid Home Monitoring service (once again, no annual contract is required). Please note that your InGrid security system cannot be activated without a subscription to an InGrid home monitoring plan ($29.99/month with no annual contract).

The Console – Not a Typical Keypad.
The InGrid Keypad Console gives you everything you'd expect from a security system keypad, plus a whole lot more. Not only does the Keypad Console act as your command central, it also acts as information central, displaying up-to-the minute weather as well as severe weather alerts. Need help remembering things? The console can also display customized notifications on the easy-to-read screen (such as important dates like birthdays and anniversaries).

The Handset – Better Control Means Better Safety.
The Handset, which doubles as a cordless phone, can be taken with you anywhere in and around your home. Your system's controls and panic button are always at hand. Instead of a single keypad anchored by your front door, you're now free to roam your home, backyard or porch AND have instant access to your home's protection. What's more, the handset allows you to monitor activity in other rooms of your home. A phone line is not required for your security connection, but is required to use the handset as a cordless phone or digital answering machine.

Door/Window/Cabinet Sensors
Door/window sensors, also known as open/close sensors, are designed to detect the opening of a window, door or cabinet. These sensors are the most common component of any security system, typically used on exterior doors and windows.

InGrid's sensors can be used for non-emergency notification on things such as on firearm, medicine, or liquor cabinets. Sensors can trigger an email, text message or MyInGrid event indicating that something has been moved or opened.

The Keychain Remote
Of all the innovations built into InGrid, none is more convenient than the keychain remote. Arm or disarm your home or trigger a panic at the push of a button. Because the keychain remote is two-way, you can be 100% sure the system arms and disarms by hearing the confirmation beep or green light. With a common, analog keychain remote, you never know if the system arms or disarms correctly. That's not a secure feeling. The Keychain Remote's confirmation beep is just another way that InGrid makes you feel always-protected.

Grid Controller
InGrid is built to deliver a grid of protection. If any controller is disabled, others step in to allow the system to continue to function. This makes InGrid nearly burglar-proof, as there is no single master control panel or point of vulnerability. And, every InGrid component comes with battery back-up to keep you safe in the event of power loss.

From the Manufacturer
InGrid was designed to go from box to full home protection in minutes. While InGrid can be set up in an average home by almost anyone in roughly 90 minutes, it is built to deliver far superior reliability and security compared to traditional systems. Since you install it yourself, there is no need for strangers to come to your home, drilling holes in your walls or special tools. If you can plug in a cordless phone, you can set up your own customized secure system, easily.

Each kit comes pre-configured; you simply open up each numbered box and plug in each component sequentially. When we designed InGrid, we created a system that offers superior home and family protection in every way possible. While most systems have a single point of vulnerability (a single master control panel that can be disabled in seconds), InGrid distributes the control points to several controllers, each a fully functioning mini-system that continually talks with all of the sensors. If one component is disabled, the others are still protecting you.

But InGrid is so much more than just home security; your system can also send you alerts and allow you to monitor non-emergency events that are just as important to your peace of mind. Whether you're on vacation, at the office, or out to dinner, you'll be able to tell who's coming and going, and when, without alarms or the police showing up.

InGrid Home Monitoring is included with your monthly security monitoring. Please note that your InGrid Security System cannot be activated without a monthly monitoring plan. With our 30-day risk-free guarantee and no annual contracts, there is no reason not to install InGrid and enjoy its superior protection, convenience and value.

The perfect alarm system for my needs.

Reviewer: AreYouKidding?,
I've been shopping for alarms systems for a while now. I wanted something easy to install that offered extended protection and had some kind of notification for entry, alarms, etc. This system fit the bill perfectly!

First of all, it took less than 2-hours to completely install this system. Right from the get-go I knew this was going to be easy. As soon as I opened the box, I was armed with an Easy Setup Guide and boxes labeled 1, 2, 3 & 4. Following the well written instructions was a snap. First the base that plugs into my router, next the phone and charger for the bedroom, then the console by the front door and finally the extender in the living room.

Once the "core" system was hooked up, sensor installation and set-up was a breeze. You can configure each sensor for the way you plan on using it. For me, that was four windows, three entry doors and the real surprise . . . my garage door in what InGrid calls "convenience" mode. (I will never leave the garage door open overnight again!) There are many customized sensor options to choose from and you can use the handset, console or the myInGrid website for tweaking the settings.

The sensors themselves attach via some incredibly strong double sided sticky tape and they blend in nicely with the white frames of my windows. They are however quite visible on my oak door frames. Not ugly, but not exactly stealthy. (See customer images.)

Arming and Disarming the system is a snap. You can choose between "Instant" arming, "Stay" at home arming or the most common, "Leave" the home arming. Customizable exit and entry delays give you plenty (or just enough) time to arm and disarm. Disarming requires a PIN# to be entered before the set time expires. You can also use the included keychain remote or myInGrid website to arm/disarm.

My favorite part of the system is the notifications. I have it setup to email my work and personal email address anytime a sensor opens/closes, an alarm triggers or an important event or malfunction takes place. You can even set it up to text message you alerts.

For now I am "self monitoring" the home and relying on notifications in the event of an intrusion. This isn't optimal (especially if I'm offline) so I'll be setting up the $30/month 24/7 Professional Monitoring service in the next couple weeks.

I'll add more to my review as I continue to thoroughly test the system. Even after only a week of ownership, I can highly recommend this to anyone whose needs are similar to mine.
All the pros and none of the cons

I spent quite a bit of time researching home security systems and decided to get the InGrid system from Crutchfield. I'm very happy with my purchase. To start with there are no negative things like: two year contract, hidden costs, wires, required phone line, high-monthly fees, etc. The specific reason I chose this system is that I didn't want to have to pay for an extra phone line or get roped into a 2 year contract (@$34 a month!). I signed up for the $19.95 personal monitoring service to start with and may upgrade to the fully monitored system later. If you buy the base system direct from InGrid you also get things like the keychain remote, window stickers, etc. But, Crutchfield was cheaper and they also sold 2-packs of the wireless sensors. It took me a few hours to get the whole system set up and installed in my house. Activation took 10 minutes. And the support team over at InGrid was very helpful when I called up to ask a question about mobile access (they sent me a link to a web site so I can control the system via my mobile phone). I can log in to the InGrid site at any time and turn on or off the system and customize my alerts. I found out that the other sensors (smoke, glass break, and motion) are made by Honeywell and you can get them cheaper on security sites. I plan to expand my system over time and eventually add cameras and grid extenders. The InGrid support team told me that they get a lot of requests for outdoor cameras. If you order the fully monitored system ($29/mo.) you have an option to buy a cellular grid extender backup -- even though they don't mention it anywhere on their web site yet. I'm very happy with this purchase. It's easy to set up and manage and doesn't require long term contracts or extra phone line.
Great Alarm System

This alarm system is perfect for our needs. If you don't have a landline phone, you are not eligible for certain professionally installed alarm systems. So, in addition to the monitoring fee, you'd also have to pay to add a landline. That is what initially attracted us to the InGrid system... but there is so much more! So, what makes InGrid so great?

Installation
-All door and window sensors "stick on" - no wires, no screws, anyone can install!
-Console requires a nearby plug, but otherwise easy to install anywhere
-Cordless handset just requires a wall plug

What is Included?
-Cordless handset can be placed anywhere to control system (ours is in master bedroom) - easily arm the system right before bed, without having to go back to the console
-Window and door sensors (extra sensors available on Amazon)

Easy online monitoring of your home
-View the status of your system
-Arm or disarm your system remotely (i.e. for the cleaning lady, a neighbor, etc)
-Edit contact settings for alarm notifications
-Arm/disarm individual sensors (so you can leave an upstairs window open but still arm the system, etc.)
-View the history - see if the kids armed properly before leaving, fix it online if they did not
-Optional video monitoring available with camera and nominal extra monthly fee

Other Features

-Notification settings for events can include: burglar alarm, wireless internet out, etc. You control online.
-Set up to 4 notification contacts for events - text messaging or e-mail addresses
-InGrid will call a person, plus other added courtesy contacts (such as a neighbor, if desired), to verify alarm before calling authorities
-"Panic mode" - if you are asked to disarm the system against your will, or otherwise need police help, you can enter a certain distress code that you set up as the "unlock" code for the system. InGrid will not call you to confirm, or send alerts, they will send the police right away.
-Arm and disarm via "keychain remote" - one is included, others available on Amazon
-Optional fire alarm can be purchased, which will notify security company of a fire. (With my cooking, I am not using this feature!)

Because your settings can be easily changed online, you can add and remove the primary and secondary (courtesy) contacts and change your notification options. When we recently went on a three week vacation to Europe, we added my parent's contact information to notify them of a problem with our system, as we would be unavailable by phone to contact. When we got home, it took just a minute to go in and change the settings back to our e-mail and cell phones (for text messaging).

The only slight disappointment to us was that a security sign and/or stickers were not included in the box. However, we were able to order on InGrid's website very easily. We think this is an important deterrent to let potential intruders know that you have a security system installed.

Overall, this is a great system and is very easy to use. My husband and I each have a keychain. We can arm and disarm the system remotely from the internet, so if we want to allow someone access to our home, we can do so without them needing the alarm code or a keychain remote. This is a very flexible system, easy to use, great online self-monitoring and controls, and gives us a great piece of mind to know it is installed.

The additional monitoring service is installed on our system. Luckily we have not needed it so far, but it is comforting to know we are linked into the local emergency response departments should we need assistance. I highly recommend this system to anyone who would like to install their own security system that is effective and easy to use. Do not be intimidated by the fact you install yourself - no wires, no mess! Great product. Thanks InGrid!
Easy To Setup & Great Customer Service

InGrid hit a home run with this system. Easy to set up, tough to defeat and superb customer service if you get yourself into a jam.

We've been using it for a few months - zero troubles. I like their anti-false alarm design strategy along with the multiple points of communication to the monitoring station (broadband/DSL, phone, GSM).

In comparing wireless systems, this is a no-brainer.
Excellent design, good bargain. Actually costs less than others

Update: I have been using this for 6 months. No issues and continue to love the system. Overall cost and useful benefits still far outweigh the big guys.
-----------------

System design is excellent. Setup options allow greater flexibility than with other systems.

You can label your doors and specify specific at home/away options. Great if you want to secure the home, but still have access to your back patio.
User and notification options are great. It will notify you on specific scenarios. I have one setup for the housekeeper and a text is sent to me when he arrives and leaves.
The web-based access is great bc you can control remotely for those home repairs.
Dual reporting is neat. Primary is broadband internet with phone backup. Nice to have two options.

Base and handsets are nice and of good quality. Easy to use buttons to to perform all system functions. LED provide good indicator of system status.

System setup was easy. Base and console, then importantly the individual units one by one. Actually pretty cool watching is recognize, custom name, and constantly monitor. System gives you a status of all items at all times. It even told me once my internet was down!

The overall price of the package appears to be expensive at first. Many other professional systems you see advertised on TV offer the free or almost free package, but found out it was only for 3 doors and single pad. I installed 6 doors, including two in guesthouse. Added an extra handset; now have one in guest house and master. I even added the smoke alarm option. The price for all of this was substantially lower than what the free professional system added up when you wanted something more than basic. Just try and obtain all of these items from the so called 'free system' places.

Monitoring is how you obtain the best out of your system. Most burglaries and fires occur when you are not at home. I like how the fee is the same regardless of how many access points, handsets, with or without fire.

Would have given it 5 stars, but for two items. Couple of the batteries were dead. Also I stuck in learning mode and actively monitored. Contact service and they indicated I needed an alarm permit. Would have been nice to know when I activated the service in the beginning. Was able to obtain and easily rectified.
